The village gets swallowed by cascading waves triggered by the Gansu earthquake in Haidong, China

On December 19th, the 6.2-magnitude earthquake in Jishishan, Gansu triggered a sandboiling in a region of neighbouring Qinghai.
Video filmed on December 20 in Jintian Village, Haidong City, Qinghai Province shows the houses being buried by waves of mud exceeding 3 meters in height, and only the roofs of some houses being exposed to the air.
According to local reports, as of December 24, the earthquake in Haidong claimed the lives of 32 individuals, while 2 individuals are still reported missing. Rescue and reconstruction efforts are still underway.
