Fishermen rescued a baby sea turtle that was tangled in their net.

Sakarin and his friends were angling for fish, but the marine reptile was lured to their bait and became stuck in it in Rayong province, Thailand, on February 14.

Footage shows one of the men pulling the net and cutting some of the ropes tied around the floater to release the animal.

He then cut more strings around the sea turtle's limbs to free it and let it swim away.

Almost all sea turtle species are classified as threatened, endangered, or critically endangered according to the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species. Primary threats that drive their declining population include accidental entanglement, poaching, or development of nesting beaches among others.
