This is the shocking moment friends and relatives climbed school walls to pass crib sheets to students taking their exams in India.

Jaw-dropping footage shows several men scaling the walls of the Chandravati School in Haryana to hand cheat sheets to the examinees in Class 10 - all aged around 14 years old - taking the test on March 6.

The questionnaire had reportedly been leaked before the exam, allowing some students to access the answers and pass them along.

Outraged parents gathered as some climbed ropes on the outside the school to brazenly hand their friends cheat sheets through the windows.

The Nuh district education officer Paramjeet Chahal said the Board chairman has sought a report of the incident.

Authorities were now trying to identify who had leaked the test papers.

He said: 'Action will be taken against any erring official if they are found to have a role in helping students cheat in the exams.

'There are CCTV cameras on the premises and these will also be checked. The chairman will decide if the exam needs to be nullified and the centre sealed.'

Tauru Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar said a similar incident occurred at a different school in the same district.

He said: 'During our visit, we saw a huge crowd on the premises of a Class 12 exam centre at MSD School, Tauru, and when we tried to disperse them, a 20-year-old tried to run away. We arrested the man and handed him over to the police station under IPC section 188.

'An FIR has been registered at Tauru City police station. We were ensuring that CrPC 144 was not being flouted.'

Meanwhile, Block Education Officer Dharampal emphasised a zero-tolerance policy towards cheating, promising severe consequences for those caught.

He assured the public that the education board would collaborate with law enforcement to increase security measures at test centres. Examiners were coordinating with police to increase deployment ahead of the next exam.
