A wild monkey was caught on camera rummaging through the display of an out-of-service soup stall in Indonesia.

The footage, taken in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra Province on March 5, shows the monkey entering through a gap in the roof and then being filmed inside the soup display.

"The monkey was previously seen on top of the display cabinet outside. We chased it away but it ran into the gap in the roof and entered the stall," said Wahyu Lelo, who filmed the video.

Presumably finding nothing to eat, the monkey eventually left and rejoined its group, leaving the soup stall in a state of disarray.
