A tornado outbreak has left at least three people dead and dozens more injured in several states across the Midwest and South in the U.S.

Drone footage shows overturned vehicles and collapsed houses after tornadoes ripped through the state of Indiana. The video shows the Sandy Beach campsite, damaged homes in Jefferson County followed by Hanover.

Officials said the severe weather event produced multiple EF3 tornadoes, with wind gusts ranging from 136 to 165 mph, causing widespread destruction in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Arkansas last week.

Communities in rural areas were hit especially hard as the powerful storm system overturned boats, demolished homes, uprooted trees, and knocked out power lines.

Emergency response teams have been deployed to the affected areas to assess the damage and provide assistance to those in need.

Local officials are urging residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions as they work to clear debris and restore services in the wake of the storm.
