A storm wreaked havoc as it blew through a temple fairground in Thailand.

Footage shows strong gusts blasting the field where workers were preparing for a fair at the Wat Pa Sak temple in Phitsanulok province on April 10.

The winds blowed over tents and almost dismantled a light machine set up for the event on April 13.

Temple monk Phra Suwanapong said: 'The storm was quite strong. It was fortunate the flags and tents were properly secured.'

The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning as a summer storm was expected to affect 60 provincess across the north, northeast, and central regions from April 8 to 11.

Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are entering their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
