The Royal National Lifeboat Institution rescued a struggling dog off the coast of Llandudno in the UK.

RNLI D class lifeboat crew responded when they received a report that a dog was in distress near Pigeon's Cove on the Great Orme on April 13.

The crew was concerned that the pooch's owner might have also entered the water in an attempt to save their pet, so the four volunteers rushed to the area.

Arriving at the scene at 6:11 pm, the crew, aided by the Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team, located the struggling dog.

The dog, named Bruno, was visibly struggling to stay afloat, desperately seeking refuge along the cliff face, but the crew managed to secure Bruno and guide him back to safety, where members of the Llandudno Coastguard Rescue Team were waiting to assist.

Luke Heritage, one of the RNLI crew members, highlighted 'the importance of safety in such situations, advising against entering the water after a pet and urging individuals to call for assistance promptly.'
