Here is an example of the fascinating predatory behavior of the Boa constrictor feeding on a black spiny-tailed iguana. This event was found while a group of marine biology students were in a field trip on the coastal zone of a mangrove conservation area in Campeche, Mexico.

Mangroves are the only flooding forests in the world. They provide several organic nutrients that are transported by marine currents toward the ocean, reaching to many underwater habitats as the coral reefs. They remove many types of pollutants, improving the water quality and contributing to the capture of greenhouse effect gases. This video represents just a sample anecdote on the mangrove ecosystem as the habitat of many different living forms.
