An aerial view residents survey the devastated village, witnessing the aftermath of Mount Marapi's cold lava eruption, which ravaged homes, mosque, rice fields, vehicle and severed road access in Lima Kaum village, located within the Tanah Datar District of West Sumatra, Indonesia, on May 12, 2024. At least 29 people, including several children, were killed and four others were missing after flash floods and cold lava flow from a volcano hit Tanah Datar and Agam Districts, rescue officials said Sunday.
