PROBOLINGGO, EAST JAVA, INDONESIA - JUNE 15 : Residents are trying to return to sea after the short-finned pilot whale (G. macrorhynchus) stranded at Utara beach in Pesisir village on June 15, 2016 in Probolinggo regency, East Java Province, Indonesia.
A total of 29 pilot whales stranded on Wednesday afternoon. Based on the information to local fishermen, the pilot whale appeared in the waters around 12.00 pm Indonesia times. Sanemo, Pesisir village chief, said after appearing in the shallow waters, actually colonies of whales had returned to the center. But there is one pilot whale so that the whale colony suddenly returned to shore.
"But because the water receded into the past, the more involved," said Sanemo. Some of them even have breath and try to move the body. The others could not survive and die.
