London's new Docklands cable car

Monday August 6 - A journey in the new cable car crossing the Thames River from the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Victoria Docks. Called the Emirates Air Line, the cable car was opened in June 2012 ahead of the London 2012 Olympics Games. It runs for 1 kilometre and cost and estimate £60. Dubai-based airline Emirates sponsors the cable car. The aerial transport system is part of the Transport for London commuter network, and Oyster travel cards can be used to ride it.
