Shocking footage has emerged of the aftermath of a nine-car pile-up on a motorway in China which left at least four people dead.

The video, filmed in Mianyang, Sichuan Province on Tuesday, shows the shells of several vehicles with some still on fire, as the emergency services work on the scene.

According to local reports, four people were killed in accident and 23 were injured.
