Amusing footage of a father-to-be attempting to use a cake to reveal the gender of his child, only for a doll to spring out of the icing making it look like the cake has given birth.

The video, filmed near Detroit, Michigan, USA late last year, shows Daniel, using a cake to reveal that he and his wife, who are already parents to twin boys, are having daughter.

The reveal goes slightly wrong though.

The filmer later wrote online: "My son was the only one who knew the baby's gender.

"He built the cake around the doll with the intention of having the baby pop out of the cake - instead it looked like the cake gave birth!"

"This is also how his wife learned the gender of their baby," she continued.

"Daniel and his wife are already parents to identical twin boys."

The baby is due this month.
