A bizarre video has emerged of a man throwing a rock at a drone filming the mountains in the Val d'Hérens, Switzerland.

The footage, shot late last year, shows a man standing on a mountain peak throwing a rock and narrowly missing the drone.

"We hiked several hours off trail to get close enough to the mountains, I then flew over a kilometre to the peak," the filmer wrote online.

"I thought I'd be clear of anyone at this period of the year but it seems not! Once I saw there was someone on that mountain I flew back, packed up and left."

The video shows onboard video from a small racing drone, as it calmly cruises around the mountains in the Val d'hérens in Switzerland.
