A funny video has emerged of a man pranking treasure hunters by burying a chest of chocolate coins and pretending to make a big discovery.

The footage, shot last year in the Philippines, shows people digging up a treasure chest and bringing it back to their village where a crowd gathered for the occasion.

When the treasure hunters open the chest it reveals gold-covered chocolate coins and and costume jewellery which were given to the children.

"It was a lot of fun and in the end I threw a party for all the people present and needless to say those kids enjoyed it and got lots of gold covered chocolate!" the filmer wrote online.

I decided to make a prank video and filled the wooden chest with costume jewelry and gold covered chocolate coins. I then buried it and the next day acted like I was going to find big gold!
