Snowbird crash 1 5 2017

Very last run of the day. The powder was deep and my legs were burning and googles fogged at the time I hit the tree. I was following my friend and thought I'd just carve around the tree at the last moment but my board slid into my friends track and before I knew it I was sitting in the snow watching blood dripping. It was surreal and the first thing I did was dig through the snow to try to find all my teeth I was sure were knocked out. I also thought my eyeball had popped out so I took off my goggles with the camera built into them and felt for a dangling eye. Once I realized it was still there I turned the goggles on myself and got the little snippet of me talking. This was the second time I'd ever worn a helmet in over 26 years of snowboarding and I'm glad I did!
