Taipei resident John Saboe surveys the damage left by typhon Nesat in Taiwan's capital Taipei on July 30.

Although Saboe says the biggest damage he saw were uprooted trees and fallen branches, around 250,000 households lost power due to the heavy winds, thousands had to be evacuated and hundreds of flights were cancelled.

A quick survey of Typhoon Nesat damage in Taipei's 228 Peace Park. Fallen trees and branches were seen in parks around Taipei which suffered little damage compared with Southern Taiwan, (Pingtung County). Over 300 flights were cancelled and train service was also suspended before and during the typhoon. (This agreement requires exclusivity, can we agree this does not apply to me or this video?)
