An unusual video has emerged from China showing a street vendor smashing watermelons outside a local law enforcement office on August 6.

According to local news, officers in Zhengzhou, Henan Province had earlier confiscated the scales he uses for weighing the fruit because he was peddling his wears beside a motorway.

This incensed the vendor and so he decided to drive his lorry to the local law enforcement office and smash his melons outside by way of protest.

The video, filmed in Zhengzhou, Henan Province on August 6, shows a man taking watermelons out of his lorry one-by-one and throwing them onto the ground at the gate of the Urban Administrative and Law Enforcement Bureau.

According to local news, the officers confiscated the pedlar's scales as he sold watermelons on motorway.

Then, he was asked to write a guarantee when he went to get his scales back, which annoyed him off.
