A tourist on holiday in Majorca, Spain has recorded an amusing video showing fellow British tourists getting up early to reserve sun loungers by the hotel pool.

In the clip, which was filmed just before 8 am local time on August 14, the tourists wait for the pool to open and then rush in and reserve the sun loungers with their towels.

Minutes later all the loungers are reserved but everyone has gone back to bed.

"These were all British people," the filmer wrote online.

We recently went to the Fergus Style Cala Blanca Suites in Santa Ponsa, Majorca. Whilst we loved the 4 star hotel and everything it had to offer, the only thing we hated was the queue every morning for a sun lounger.

It was a case of you snooze you lose. Queues formed every morning from 0730 with some quests having 12 towels each ready to pounce on the 0800 opening time. The morning I filmed this was out last day and was relatively quiet. You can see the walk starts calmly then the pace picks up. After gaining a lounger and securing it with a towel, the quests are then seen walking away and back to their rooms (maybe back to bed).

I film again 30 minutes later and you can see it's a ghost town with every sun lounger taken.

They used to say the Germans were bad but these were all British people.
