Hit pedestrian on Vauxhall bridge

Buy video

This happened to me on the 16 June 2015 round 6pm but decided to upload it now due to the recent news. I was coming at speed, light turned green way before I crossed the line. I noticed the two girls crossing and I hesitated for a moment but then I thought that they would finish crossing since the traffic was stopped waiting for them to do so. My mistake was that I should've been more cautious approaching them, but it never occurred to me that one of them would turn around without even looking. I'm 6'4" and 16 stone. Luckily I managed to stop enough and only hit the girl with the edge of my handlebar since I was able to move towards the left. She stood up right away, I stood up after 3 seconds but badly bruised. This could've been a lot more tragic. I've only shared on Facebook a version of the screen filmed from my mobile with no sound.
