Terrifying dashcam footage has emerged of a motorway crash near Stanstead Airport in England.

The video, captured on June 23 by Barry Smith, shows a white car coming up behind a van and striking the corner of the vehicle, causing the van to veer off and strike the central reservation before flipping onto its side.

The filmer says: "The white car was overtaking the van but it looks like he misjudged it and collided with the van and caused the van to turn over.

"I got out and went over to help the guys in the van. They didn't require help as they were both OK and could get themselves out OK."

The incident took place on the M11, near Stansted Airport junction.

Van driving on motorway when a car came up behind it and started to move over before actually passing vehicle and increased speed pushing van out of the way literally and causing it to turn over..white car did stop as did the black car.
