IT MAY NOT SHOW MUCH VISUALS BUT THE AUDIO SPEAKS FOR ITSELF
For the Halloween weekend the victoria Tunnel in Newcastle were putting on a self guided tour as a special Halloween event. The rest of the year the victoria Tunnel run designated Tours, whereby the guide takes you through and talks about the history of the tunnel. But for this Halloween event, they were organising timed slots booked on-line, whereby you were greeted by a Tour Guide. They then would proceed to give you a health and safety talk and present you with a hard hat.
The guide would guide you through the entrance, but then you had to go it alone through the tunnel where you were met by a member of staff before returning back through the tunnel. On your journey, it was so dark, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Tea lights lit the way for the most part, apart from the odd carefully placed torches.
I had a light on my camera but was not able to use it, as it would have spoilt the effect of the element of suprise. There were 'characters' in there, who used their optimal ability to scare you.
The video footage i took was for the last part of the journey back through the tunnel. We had already been experiencing the tunnel for twenty minutes. It took us thirty minutes to get there and back.
