Terrifying eye-witness video from inside Ventura wildfire

Terrifying eye-witness video filmed in the middle of the Southern California wildfire that broke out on Monday.

In the video, filmed at around 1am on December 5 on Foothill Road in Ventura, burning embers fly by the camera while a tree appears to be glowing red-orange.

The filmer told Newsflare: "The fire swept through the ravine, surrounding me.

"Here's me in the flames, in the middle of a wildfire in Ventura. This what it looks like, this is how fires move so fast - embers.

According to the filmer, Harbor View Apartments on Kalorama and also the Vista Del Mar Hospital were destroyed in the Avenue area of Ventura.

He writes: "31,000 acres burned, 150 structures destroyed and almost 8.000 dwelling units from Santa Paula to the Upper Ojai to Ventura have been evacuated with 27,000 people displaced by the fire. More than 500 firefighters from all over the region have responded."
