Duo hitch ride on back of Staten Island bus
Shocking and dangerous video of two people hitching a ride on the BACK of a bus along a major Staten Island thoroughfare over the Christmas weekend.
In the video, filmed on the evening of December 24, the two can be seen holding on to the back of the moving bus, which is going along a busy Richmond Avenue.
Filmer Kevin Yue said that the two rode on the back of the bus for a few minutes until the bus stopped at its next location.
He told Newsflare: “They got off the bus when the bus stopped at the next location. I was just driving home from the mall and I just so happened to see these kids in front of me behind the bus.”
At the time, Yue captioned the video "miss the bus?? NOT TODAY" and described it on Twitter as a scene "straight out of the movies."
Yue said the vehicle was an MTA bus, which would be operated by New York City Transit Authority.
Local media reported an MTA spokeswoman as saying that the stunt was an "extremely dangerous and illegal - not to mention stupid - activity to engage in."
