Snowy winter scenes in the Westmorland Dales
The recent cold weather has brought with it considerable snow fall to the Westmorland Dales in north east Cumbria, making the landscape look stunningly beautiful. But this makes it hard work for the local farmer having to freed their sheep extra fodder to supplement for lack of grass to graze. The sheep find the many dry stone walls a good place to try to get out of the worst of the weather, and often huddle together to keep warm.
