On Monday March 2nd 2018 at approximately 1:00 pm, my daughter and I were getting ready to go down a water slide, when I heard a loud bang! I looked down below and seen people running frantically from the wave pool. Some were carrying their children as they were expressing fear on their faces. We were unsure what had just happened and decided to walk back down the steps to find out where my wife and 3 yr old son were. I was terribly worried that maybe they had been involved with whatever tragic event was unfolding. Once I got down to the accident, I witnessed a lifeguard that had been struck by the giant pipe duct, being worked on by rescue workers at Kalahari. Everyone just stood all around expressing concern and fear for the injured. I then decided to grab my cell phone in a attempt to capture what had happened.
