Stop Bombing Syria - Newcastle Protest Rally
There was a Stop the War Protest at the Monument in Newcastle Upon Tyne on Tuesday 17th April 2018.
They were there to condemn May, Trump and Macron's bombing of Syria and call for no more bombing.
The protest was chaird by Tony Dowling and speakers were Conor McArdle - Unison, Ann Schofield - Newcastle city councillor, Jamie Driscoll - Northern Regional Organiser, Momentum, Mollie Brown - North East People’s Assembly Against Austerity, Pam Wortley - Sunderland Stop the War and Roger Nettleship - convener, Newcastle Stop the War. Ron Brown sang for the protest.
In this video i have captured a part of the protest with some of the speakers. The protest started at 5pm and lasted for an hour.
