This tiny Wolfi octopus was no more than inch tall - footage was recorded using a macro lens (CMC1) from Nauticam attached to a Canon G7X camera in Nauticam housing.

Facts about the Octopus Wolfi:
- The world's smallest known octopus is the Octopus Wolfi. It was discovered and officially classified in 1913.
- The Octopus Wolfi measures only 1.5 cm in length!
- These tiny octopuses are found in the Indo-Pacific Ocean
- A full grown Octopus Wolfi weighs less than a gram.

There is still a lot to be learned about the octopus Wolfi, although it has been noted that the males have fringe-like rims on their suckers, an uncommon trait.
The tiny Octopus was spotted during a night dive while staying at Magic Oceans Dive Resort in Anda Bohol, Philippines.

Just love the way it surreptitiously tries to hide from the camera at the end - almost like it doesn't think it has been seen.
