Authorities issued a state of emergency in the borough of Bethel Park, Pittsburgh, on the evening of June 20 as the area was hit by severe flooding.

In the parking lot of restaurant Trolley Stop Inn along Library Road, cars were submerged with some vehicles floating around in the floodwaters. The video, taken by Mike Coates at around 8:30 pm, shows a white car completely carried away by the raging waters.

According to local reports, the interior of the restaurant was also flooded, forcing customers and staff to stand on tables and wait for help.

The county has reported receiving a large volume of calls regarding weather-related emergencies and urges residents to only phone in if the situation is life threatening.
