Trains slosh through floodwaters in Mumbai as city hit by heavy downpour
A heavy downpour continued to ravage the city of Mumbai on July 9, with collapsed structures and severe flooding claiming the lives of at least six people.
This video shows a train running through a flooded railway station.
The downpour caused delays and shutdowns of bus and train services, with heavy duty pumps being used to pump out water from railway tracks at several locations. Flights were also disrupted.
Search operations are underway for missing persons, and the official death toll is expected to exceed eight. On Sunday, two people died in a landslide in the suburb of Vikhroli.
Authorities forecast more rains for the city in the next few days.
