One particular football fan, dressed in the red, white and blue of the French flag, leaped upon the roof of a car in a splits position to screams of delight from the crowds, drank from a bottle of champagne, which she poured onto her face, and took off on a victory lap around the block as fans applauded her celebration. It was one of the best, spontaneous moments of the night, providing relief from hanging from lampposts or into the tops of buses.
