4. FANS WAVING FLAGS AND CHANTING PARIS, FRANCE - SEPTEMBER 22: The Ballon d’Or, awarded to the best footballer of the year, was won by French star Ousmane Dembele of Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, Sept. 22.

The 2025 Ballon d’Or, organized by the French football magazine France Football, was presented at a ceremony held at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, the capital of France.

Dembele, 28, who won the UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, and the French Cup with Paris Saint-Germain last season, was named the recipient of the prestigious award.

Following Dembele’s victory, hundreds of fans celebrated across various parts of Paris, chanting slogans in support of the French star.

In the voting, Spanish player Lamine Yamal of Barcelona came in second, while PSG’s Portuguese player Vitinha finished third.

The award for the best female footballer went to Spain and Barcelona star Aitana Bonmati, marking her third consecutive win.
