Big meets small in Brookfield, Wisconsin, as this adorable video shows elderly rescue dog Nellie meeting African pygmy hedgehog Sofie for the first time.

Nellie, a Catahoula hound, started sniffing Sofie's spines before Sofie turned around and the two met face-to-face. Since this meeting on June 25, the pair apparently have had several more friendly encounters.

Nellie, our elderly catahoula rescue dog is super kind and loves to meet people. She'd never been face to face before with Sofie, our son's hedgehog so what you're seeing is them meeting for the first time, June 25th 2018 in our backyard in Brookfield, Wisconsin. The meeting went great and they've had several nose-to-nose meetings since.
