Debris and fallen trees litter the streets of Osaka hours after Typhoon Jebi made landfall in Japan.

"Two and a half hours after Typhoon Jebi landed in Osaka. Trees down, ceilings were blown, debris everywhere," the filmer writes.

Footage captured this morning (September 4) shows foliage and parts of buildings in the middle of abandoned roads in Japan's second-biggest city.

The powerful storm is believed to be the strongest in Japan in 25 years.

Up to 300,000 people were advised to evacuate as cities such as Osaka and Kyoto come under threat from the typhoon.
