Pothole on M1
This video shows my car going over a pothole on the M1. This was in roadworks and cars were diverted onto the hard shoulder. This impact wrote off the front tyre and damaged both alloy wheels on the right hand side of the car. A claim was submitted to the Highways Agency on the basis that they either didin't check the surface before allowing cars onto the hard shoulder, or they did check but did nothing about it - in either case I considered them liable. They paid up in full for two new wheels and a new tyre.
