Going to an Emergency call in the Ambulance running on Emergency Blue Lights and Sirens, a driver of a car pulled out of a side road without stopping at the stop line to see if traffic was coming their direction in front of our Ambulance. With the driving skills of the Ambulance driver we avoided T Boning the said car but there was still an impact. The driver of the car explained that they did not SEE or HEAR the Ambulance approaching. As I have already mentioned here, we were on route to an Emergency call. Because of this RTC we were stood down from that Emergency call possibly causing a delay for another Ambulance to attend that Emergency call.
Footage caught on personal dashcam and Police are not interested in seeing the footage or taking matters further against the car driver.
