A Conversation With Crazy Neighbour

Between 2011 & 2014 my ex-girlfriend & I lived in an apartment opposite a young lady with Schizophrenia. Her behaviour was eratic, she took illegal drugs and which exasperated her condition and treated us to night after night of her 'singing'. We'd regularly have the police attend as she'd be banging on our door as much as we banged on hers in a vain attempt to shut her up. Both my ex-girlfriend & I worked full time &, some nights, would get no sleep at all. I once resorted to turning her electricity off via a common switch board, she kept singing without the music. It was incredibly stressful as it just didn't relent. You had no idea what you were going home to and it caused a massive strain on our relationship. The noise was so much that it invaded every room in our apartment, you couldn't escape it. I spoke to her care worker and nothing was done. We eventually moved around the same time she was finally evicted.
