Rapper YG arrives at Los Angeles International Airport shortly after a judge ruled that a lawsuit against him, accusing him of a Las Vegas robbery, can move forward.

In the footage, YG appears reluctant to say too much, advising people to speak to his lawyer.

The civil lawsuit was brought against him by a man named Benjamin Naderi after an alleged incident in May. The judge gave the order for the case to move forward on December 16.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a judge has ordered the civil lawsuit brought by a man named Benjamin Naderi against YG will continue on. The rapper had attempted to put the entire case on hold until the outcome of the criminal trial he is facing over the same incident but the judge wasn’t seeing things his way. The judge notes that the case is over an alleged assault and battery, where the majority of evidence will likely involve witnesses whose memories could be subject to degradation if the case was stayed.

The order says the alleged victim would have to wait a long time because the criminal case was just initiated. The judge says the complaint has shown enough allegations that YG allegedly acted with malice “and sought to physically and emotionally harm him for asking for a picture.”

Back in October, the rapper (real name: Keenon Jackson) filed court docs in the lawsuit filed over the incident that took place at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas back in May.

YG argued the entire civil lawsuit should be put on hold until the outcome of his criminal case over the same incident. He was originally facing only one charge of felony robbery but following a grand jury indictment in September, the rapper is now facing three felonies, including grand larceny and larceny from a person.
