They've cleaned us out! Empty shelves and long queues at Waitrose on Christmas Eve
Empty shelves were in evidence at a Waitrose supermarket in Kingston upon Thames near London on Christmas Eve.
Only one box of mince pies was left on display and other Christmas treats such as the Dark Chocolate Orange Stollen, advertised in Waitrose’s Christmas TV ad, were unavailable.
Video also shows long queues at the checkout as shoppers made their last-minute buys for Christmas.
