After a non-violent standoff in Leicester city centre on Friday afternoon (January 11) an elderly man took a tumble when he tried to attack another man.

The attempted attack which took place on Granby Street at around 4:00 pm was caught on camera by a passing student.

A woman, who tried to keep the two men apart to stop any violence from happening, can be heard shrieking throughout the video to the amusement of the filmer and passersby.

The elderly man can be heard cursing profusely at the younger man before slipping up, bringing the confrontation seemingly to a premature close.

The filmer told Newsflare: "I was walking back home from paying my rent with my earphones in and then I started to hear screaming.

“So I took my earphones out and started recording what was happening.

“I was confused at first, then found it funny, In Leicester, you see weird things all the time but this one was especially crazy”
