Careless driver nearly causes collision with lorry on UK motorway
Emergency lay-bys are for emergencies only and if needed. The telephone has to be used to close the joining lane otherwise you risk causing a serious accident. This driver was lucky the HGV managed to slam on his brakes. I couldn't move over as I had a car to my right. All I could do was watch in horror. A very close call.
