Extreme Northern lights 31. January 2019

One of the most intense Northern lights show for a long time was last Thursday January 31st. I was shooting at Gluggafoss waterfall in south Iceland, and my intention was to get the waterfall with Aurora in the back, but most of the time that night the lights were to the south in direction of Vestmannaeyjar and Eyjafjallajökull glacier. I set up my Sony a6500 camera with a Samyang 8mm fish-eye lens facing south-east, enabling me to capture a 180° view. Even that setup was not enough because the whole sky was on fire. Here is a time-lapse video made of around 600 frames, one hour of shooting.
