This was the bizarre discovery of a US driver who spotted a 'zombie-like' deer standing completely motionless on the side of the road last month (February 2).

The unresponsive deer was discovered by a pizza delivery driver while he was doing his rounds in Ramsey, Minnesota.

The filmer said: "I noticed the deer standing on the side of the road so I pulled up right next to it and started recording.

"It was just standing there with its eyes closed, unresponsive to my presence.

"Perhaps the deer was recently struck by a car and was stunned or it had a chronic wasting disease."
