A sea lion at St. Louis zoo in Missouri was entranced by a visitor waving his hand alongside its tank, rolling and weaving through the water trying to chase it.

The magical video, filmed on March 12, shows a man standing next to the sea lion tank, and the sea lion trying to follow the movements of his right hand as he moves it in circles on the glass.

The filmer commented: "This zoo visitor drew a crowd on a cold day getting this sea lion to follow his hand movements.

"The sea lion took preference to this man only and his right hand. He poked at the glass if the man stopped or used his left hand.

"When he would stop, the sea lion would look directly at him and poke at the glass with his snout almost as to gesture that he wanted more ‘commands’."

I was actually visiting the St Louis Zoo and noticed a crowd of people near the sea lion display. No one had their cameras out b/c they were all staring in awe at the antics of this sea lion. This man was a spectator and evidently started making hand gestures that the sea lion followed. When he would stop, the sea lion would look directly at him and poke at the glass with his snout almost as to gesture that he wanted more ‘commands’. The man’s wife at one point was telling him to stop so they could move in to another animal habitat.
