With a variety of speakers and dogs of all kinds, gathered in Victoria Tower Gardens 10 March, the second Wooferendum became a massive exercise in free speech outside Parliament. "Some people say that we had a democratic referendum in 2016. Bullshit, excuse my French. That is no true," - says one of the speakers. "Vote Leave leadership have admitted that they lied repeatedly to get people to vote leave. We now know that there were 150 000 Twitter accounts, tweeting about Brexit during the referendum campaign, that have now been linked to Russia. There were £8.3 million cash donations to Leave campaign by one guy...".
"The fact is the National Crime Agency are investigating an election in the United Kingdom for the first time in British political history. The Metropolitan Police have a series of ongoing criminal investigations into that referendum. Anybody who thinks that that is democracy is absolutely wrong. We need to have a fair, free, transparent and open vote for the British people. The question is: When do we have it?" The speaker suggests putting Brexit on pause for two years to let the police finish their investigations and put in prison those who deserve to be in prison and let the National Crime Agency complete their investigations and get the prosecutions done. The demographics are going to be totally different by the next vote. "Just on the demographics we will win this People's Vote: by 60% to 40% we will absolutely smash the second referendum or the first legal referendum when it comes around.
