I woke from my sleep one night in COB Adder (Talil, Iraq) to get ready for a convoy mission to Bagdhad. I had an awkward feeling about the mission and felt like something was wrong. I then decided to record myself telling my family about how much I miss and loved them in case it was my last opportunity to do so. While in the process of recording myself sending my love back home, I heard a whisper come from my left side. The whisper caught me off guard and I turned to to see where the whisper came from. At that time, the locker on my right side flew open with great force. Startled, I got up to investigate the situation and look for an explanation. I thought at the time that maybe a fellow soldier was just messing with me and playing a prank on me. After searching the room, I came to find that, that was not the case at all. I turned back towards my computer and then seen a shadow lerking in the corner of my room hovering in a way that was un-natural. Its scared me and I then immediately fled the room. I ran to my superiors and demanded a room change and explained the situation to them. After returning to the room to retrieve my computer, I was able to show proof of my encounter. I was then granted my room change.
