Petit allau a Andorra - Small Avalanche in Andorra

Buy video

We were practicing ski mountainnering (kind of backcountry) with a friend in Andorra (small country between France and Spain. There was not a lot of snow and the official avalanche danger was pretty low. Anyway, it was really windy and it helped the snow to accumulate in certain places. We were having fun while going downhill. At this point I decided to jump into this slope and while doing the second turn I felt that the floor (snow) was starting to move. I didn't get completely buried and I could keep more or less in the same place because I could set the edges of my skis in the snow underneath. My friend was following the avalanche protocol, and the first thing is to keep in mind the last place he could see me. But luckily that was all and I didn't get hurt.
