Locals In Shock After Fatal Stabbing Of Young Boy In North-East London

Locals in Hackney, north-east London say the stabbing of a young boy is a “breakdown” of the community and for parents across the capital.

A major investigation has started after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Hackney last night.

Police were called to Somerford Grove, just before 9pm on Wednesday, 1st May.

A male was found with stab injuries.

He was given emergency first aid by officers before paramedics from London's Air Ambulance were called to the scene.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at 21.49hrs.

The victims family visited the crime scene last night - his mother - especially was extremely upset.

A second male, believed to be 16 years old, was found with stab injuries in Shacklewell Road.

He has been taken to hospital. His injuries have been assessed as non life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.
