'Nazi' supporter is egged after ranting about transgender people in New York City
An alleged Nazi supporter patrolling Union Square, New York, was egged after going on a rant and claiming homosexuals and transgenders have a "chemical imbalance".
The shocking footage shows members of the public confronting the man wearing a swastika chain around his neck moments before a passerby smashes an egg on his head.
The controversial man was later identified as Jovanni Valle, who had his nose broken last year in a brawl over wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat to a bar, reports say.
Elise, who filmed this scene, told Newsflare: "I was sitting at Union square with a close friend and we saw him standing with his flag. We overheard him talking to two girls so we moved closer. I was borderline shocked because I've never encountered someone like that in real life before. I thought his points were awful. He was standing around with flag and waiting for people to approach him because of it."
Valle then chased the man who threw an egg on his head and brought him down. A few members of the public jumped in to help the 'egger'.
"The police came, they asked to see my video to which I showed them. They let go of the 'egger' and the people who helped, because of my video. I'm not sure what happened to him [Valle] but I believe he left in an ambulance even though he wasn't injured," Elise added.
