A video has emerged of protesters interrupting a talk given by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel at the University of California, Berkeley, US on Wednesday.

The footage, captured by a member of the audience, shows the activists standing at the front of UC Berkeley's Wheeler Auditorium protesting against recent decisions not to indict police officers in the wake of recent police shootings.

The demonstrators can be heard chanting "No police state, no NSA" and waving placards, while security guards quickly escort billionaire investor Thiel out of the venue.

According to local media, after breaking up the event, the protesters made their way towards the city centre where they continued their demonstration.
